Among the scholars who illuminated the world with their knowledge and jurisprudence are the two Imams: Al-Bukhari and Muslim, the authors of the two Sahihs, the most authentic books after the Book of Allah - the Almighty - so they have a merit and distinction that no other books of the Sunnah have. Scholars, both ancient and modern, have paid attention to them; some have explained them, some have summarized them, some have added to them, some have extracted them, and some have criticized some of their hadiths based on the art of hadith. All of this, if it indicates anything, indicates the importance of these two books. It is enough for you what Imam Abu Amr ibn al-Salah said in his book, Sciences of Hadith, he said: (The first to compile a book on Sahih was Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari, followed by Abu al-Husayn Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Qushayri, and Muslim, although he took from al-Bukhari and benefited from him, shares with al-Bukhari many of his sheikhs, and their books are the most authentic books after the Book of Allah, the Almighty). Introduction of Ibn al-Salah (84).
This status is not for nothing, but rather because of the conditions and controls they stipulated. If they agree on a hadith with its chain of transmission and text, then there is no doubt that it is at the peak of authenticity. This indicates the extent of their precision and care in verifying authenticity. Therefore, it occurred to me to collect what they agreed on in the text and chain of transmission, asking Allah for guidance and success, for He is the best Master and the best Supporter, and He is sufficient for me and the best Disposer of affairs.
I also call upon my sheikhs and brothers among the students of knowledge to contribute and participate , perhaps it will be a good opportunity to review and study the two Sahihs.
May Allah reward you for this valuable topic. Indeed, the two Sahih books of Bukhari and Muslim are considered among the most important sources of the Prophetic Sunnah, and they deserve in-depth study and contemplation of their accuracy in transmitting the hadith and their great interest in ensuring the authenticity of the chain of transmission and the text. Your effort in collecting what they agreed upon in the text and chain of transmission is a great addition to the study of the Noble Hadith. I ask Allah to grant you success in continuing this blessed work and to benefit us through it.
