Codex of i+303+i thick paper folios (37 x 31.2cm) with 59 illuminated sura-headings and leather binding.

Qur'an manuscript with Persian interlinear translation: Suras 38-112 except 40-41, 49, 54, 70, 82-84, 87, 93-96, 102-105. Florence customs stamp. Occasional patching with red-brown paper.

Folios: 7 lines muhaqqaq (29.5x20cm) in black with interlinear black naskh in Persian, verse-markers are gold roundels inscribed "ayat" in white kufic on red, with radiating gold petals. Marginal verse-counters are inscribed ["khamsa" or "`ashura"] roundels within square gold frame, with palmette pendant and finial, within oval cartouche, or with radiating shamsa. Margin Ornament: oval knot with one gold split-palmettes on each side, and small trefoil at the top.

56 sura-headings: knotted kufic or naskh in white against foliate spiral scroll, within illuminated gold ruled panel with projecting medallion in outer margin;

Binding: dark brown leather with tooled foliate scroll; gold-flecked red-brown paper doublures

Fol.1r: octagonal panel inscribed in white knotted kufic against gold foliate spiral scroll, flanked with illuminated panels of inscribed 8-pointed gold star-polygons + 2 lines kufic in black reserved against brown cross-hatching + long gold panel of foliate spiral scrolls, all within blue-outlined gold knotted frame, with 2 projecting roundels and illuminated 6-pointed gold star in outer margin;
